Summary: Collection consists of one 13-page handwritten speech given by Blumenschein in 1953 on the occasion of John Gaw Meem's induction as an honorary fellow of the School of American Research in Santa Fe, and five letters sent and one letter received by Blumenschein between 1946 and 1955. The letters primarily concern the art of Blumenschein and the Taos Society of Artists. Three of the letters were sent to Reginald Fisher, head of the Fine Arts Division of the Museum of New Mexico, including Blumenschein's resignation from the Museum of New Mexico's Advisory Board in protest over a one-man show awarded to Raymond Jonson during Blumenschein's absence from an Advisory Board meeting.
