Bertram S. Allen, Jr., collection, 1969-1970.

The collection consists of photocopies of documents and photographs from Bertram Allen's scrapbook. The materials pertain to his military service with the U.S. Army's 25th division from 1968-1970 during the Vietnam Conflict and provide information about the history of the 25th division. Included are copies of a letter to Allen from his father regarding his Purple Heart award, pages from Tropic lightning news with articles written by Allen, and a few pages from Tropic lightning : a history of the 25th infantry division (San Francisco : Information Office, [1969?]). The nineteen black and white copy photographs portray Allen and fellow soldiers during military service in Vietnam.
