Frisbie, Levi, 1748-1806

Levi Frisbie, clergyman, was born in Branford, Conn. in 1748. Frisbie was one of four students in the first graduating class (1771) of Dartmouth College. After studying divinity under President Eleazar Wheelock, he was ordained in 1772 and began work as a missionary among the Indians. Frisbie was installed as pastor of the First Congregational Church of Ipswich in 1776, where he continued until his death in 1806. From the description of Letter : Ipswich [Mass...
