Papers, 1972-1995, 1972-1989.

The papers of Gladys Irene Champney document her career as an artist and teacher, as well as her dedication to keeping journals and her relationship with her family, especially her sister, Sylvia Johnson. This collection provides an unscientific view of the process of aging and of the problems confronted by aged people (i.e., how does a person spend their retirement years). The Correspondence Series contains letters written between Gladys Irene Champney and her sister, Sylvia Johnson. Her love of art and other interests are illustrated in her journals and photographs.
