John H. Rodman Collection, 1914-1967 (Bulk 1940-1945).

This collection consists of personal and military materials for John H. Rodman. Items include family and military correspondence, telegrams, photographs, postcards and newspaper clippings. Also included is a Distinguished Service Cross certificate awarded to John H. Rodman and two audio records containing messages from Rodman that were broadcast over Radio Tokyo in 1943 while he was in a Japanese prisoner of war camp.

September 2, 1953, San Antonio, TX) was a career American army officer and the Commander of Allied forces in the Philippines at the time of their surrender to the Empire of Japan during World War II.
