Drake's transcriptions, with editorial comment, of fourteen copies of a "News-Letter" supplied to him by John A. Lewis. The newsletters contain eyewitness narratives and other documents mainly relating to seventeenth and eighteenth century Indian captivities, wars, peace negotiations, etc., extracted from a variety of printed and other sources.
