John M. Harlan papers : letters, 1879-1886.

This collection consists of three letters written by John M. Harlan. The first letter, dated Sept. 21, 1863, was to the Hon. Green Adams in Washington City, D.C. The document discusses remission of the forfeiture of bail in the matter of Preston R. Pattie in Federal Court. The second letter, dated June 10, 1879, is a letter of introduction to John Sherman, Secretary of the Treasury, in behalf of Harry I. Todd. The last document is a June 1886, acceptance letter of an invitation to attend the Frankfort Centennial Celebration.
