Records of the church, Vol. 1, Dec. 1, 1839-Jan. 28, 1899 and Vol. 2, April 1, 1897-Dec. 5, 1938, include: meeting minutes, annual reports, names of pastors and church officers, lists of members, and lists of payments for church taxes. Vol. 1 has a Jan. 27, 1863 note to the church from a Dover (N.H.) church clerk pasted on the inside front cover. Discussions about closing the church, 1936-1937, are found in Vol. 2.

The church was founded in 1839 in Hadley (Mich.) and sometime after 1863 it was relocated to Goodrich (Mich.).
