Mount Holly Monthly Meeting was established in 1776 by Burlington Quarterly Meeting out of Burlington Monthly Meeting. In 1827, after the Hicksite Separation in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, the Meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. The Orthodox Meeting was discontinued in 1828 ; its members were transferred to Burlington Monthly Meeting (Orthodox). The Arrangements and Hospitality Committee cooperated with the Planning Committee and Clerks of Yearly Meeting to implement the Yearly Meeting agenda. The Meal Committee, called the Lunch Committee until 1983, was responsible for food service at the Yearly Meeting Sessions.
