This series contains organizational charts; position classification questionnaires; employee allocation requests and lists for positions under Civil Service Commission jurisdiction. Organizational charts prepared from position classification questionnaires show departmental organizations listing position titles; code numbers; and vacant or occupied positions. Other charts diagram Illinois judicial system positions (e.g., Supreme Court; police magistrates); University of Illinois personnel system; comparative personnel policies and monthly wages for maintenance workers in other states; and intergovernmental relationships with the federal government. Position classification questionnaires record employee name; job titles; department; unit and work address; and work week. Questionniares disclose position status (e.g., exempt; temporary) and describe daily job routine (e.g., time schedule; equipment operated; employees supervised). Also included are supervisor statements verifying position description; job importance; and position qualifications. Some questionnaires include the employee's salary or other benefits (e.g., meals; housing); employee performance; position requirements and job hazards. Allocation request forms and employee lists provide reasons for position vacanies and record projected salaries. Position classification study documents include employee resumes; position title change authorizations; and state employee complaints (e.g., position reclassification; titles; salaries). Agency hiring and pay increase requests include commission approvals; gubernatorial authorizations for special case pay increases or position reinstatements; and union member lists.
