February 6, 1756, letter from Barton, then in Reading, Pa., to Rev. Richard Peters, an Episcopal minister and secretary to Pennsylvania's governor, reporting the Jan. 27, 1756 massacre of Juniata and Perry County settlers by the Delaware Indians.
