Deed and maps, 1762-1774.

1762 copy, presumably by Ezra Stiles, then a minister in Newport, R.I., of the 1732 deed from Mohawk chiefs living on the Mohawk River to John Henry Lydius of Albany, N.Y., of specified lands east of Lake Champlain, with a map of "Col. Lydius's Patent 1732" on the verso. Also a sheet dated Feb. 11, 1774, containing two maps. One side shows the locations of the Lydius Vermont claims. Outline map on verso, of the British middle colonies, highlights the Susquehanna Claim in Connecticut and northeastern Pennsylvania, as well as tracts in Vermont.
