Over 25 sermons (some undated or incomplete) by John Odlin and sons. John was minister of the Congregational Church at Exeter, N.H. from 1706-54 along with his son Woodbridge, who preached there from 1743-76. Elisha was minister of the First Congregational Church at Amesbury, Mass. from 1744-52. Also included are shorthand notes on 8 sermons given at Exeter, N.H. (1736-38) by the Odlins and [Peter] Coffin.

Elisha Odlin (1709-1752) was a native of Exeter, N.H., who became the third minister of the First Congregational Church of Amesbury, Mass. He was a 1731 graduate of Harvard College and, before becoming a minister, was the Exeter schoolkeeper, and served as town clerk and selectman. He was a supporter and confidant of Governor Jonathan Belcher and Province Secretary Richard Waldron. From the description of Diary, 1729. (American Antiquarian Society).
