Box 1 consists of Milton H. Shutes' correspondence with other Lincoln scholars, libraries, etc., copies of miscellaneous anecdotal reminiscences by those who knew Lincoln, and a catalog of Dr. Shutes' library of books on Lincoln. Box 2 consists of pamphlets relating to the life, activities and death of Abraham Lincoln.

Historian, physician. Received M.D. degree from Northwestern University (1908). Practiced medicine in Piedmont, Calif. (1920-1950). On staff at University of California Student Health Service (1913-1945). Abraham Lincoln (born February 12, 1809, Sinking Spring Farm near Hodgenville, Kentucky-died April 15, 1865, Washington, D.C.) was the sixteenth President of the United States from 1861 until his death by assassination.
