George O. Argall Jr. (1913-), a mining engineer, was born in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from the Colorado School of Mines in 1935 with a B.S. in Mining Engineering. From 1935 to 1942 he worked for mining companies in Colorado, first as an engineer and later as a foreman. In 1942 he joined the United States Navy and served as a lieutenant until 1946.
