Canal plat maps, 1892-1912.

Contains plat maps of Ohio canals, including the Ohio & Erie, the Miami & Erie, the Hocking, and the Walhonding canals. The maps document the route of canals, noting the location of bridges, culverts, dams, and locks. The maps also provide plats of the cities and towns along the route, including street names, locations of factories, and commercial establishments. Boundaries between state and private property are also indicated, listing the names of some property owners.
