The Zintheo Papers consist mostly of correspondence between Clarence Zintheo, as head of ISU agricultural engineering, and the United States Dept. of Agriculture, dealing mostly with research issues involving Iowa State University. There is also a brief biographical article taken from the August 27, 1903 issue of Farm Implement News.

Agricultural engineer, college department administrator. Clarence J. Zintheo served as a professor of farm mechanics and agricultural engineering, Iowa Agricultural Experiment Station at Iowa State University, 1903-1905. Zintheo served as the first professor in charge of agricultural engineering at Iowa State.
