Agricultural engineer, college department administrator. Clarence J. Zintheo served as a professor of farm mechanics and agricultural engineering, Iowa Agricultural Experiment Station at Iowa State University, 1903-1905. Zintheo served as the first professor in charge of agricultural engineering at Iowa State. He left in the summer of 1905 to take a position with the Division of Irrigation and Drainage of the United States Dept. of Agriculture. By fall 1908, Zintheo left his government position to serve as general manager of the Electric Transmission Company of Seattle, Washington.
