Papers include orders, muster rolls and duty rosters for the 3rd and 5th Regiments of Tennessee Volunteers and a broadside, 1810, of an oration delivered by John Campbell to the citizens of Washington County, Tenn. Of interest is a bound volume containing minutes of meetings, 1858-1859, of the commission appointed to survey the boundary line between Virginia and Tennessee, including expense accounts and details of the work in progress. Bound volume also contains records of the 3rd and 5th Regiments of the Tennessee Volunteers in Mexico during the winter and spring of 1847 and 1848.
