Scrapbook, 1893-98, of clippings related to Warren's role as the (U.S.) Collector of the Port of Boston from 1894-98, including his appointment, other positions in the Customs House, his enforcement of regulations, some of which were controversial, and the political nature of his position. The collection also includes original documents collected by Warren and written by many of the collectors in Boston from 1691-1898, some written during their terms in Boston. Correspondents include Henry Dearborn, Henry A.S. Dearborn, Levi Lincoln, and Hannibal Hamlin.
