Correspondence to Stone & Kimball concerning the Chap-book, 1894-1897.

One letter addressed to Herbert [Stone] may be from Harrison Garfield Rhodes, assistant editor of The Chap-book. It mentions the never-published translation of symbolist poems by Stuart Merrill and reports on other projects: articles by "Roland" who may be Roland Edward Phillips, an 1896 contributor to The Chap-book, and the writer's own project on Jules Cheret. The second letter is dated from Washington, D.C., 27 January 1897 to [Ingalls] Kimball; it concerns shipping of printing plates. The third letter dated New York, January 7 [1895?] accompanied a submission to The Chap-book; the author refers to his own poetic work published in the March 1894 Lippincott's Magazine, an issue in which poems by John James Meehan and Anna Robeson Brown appear.
