Charles Gentile papers, 1934-1966, (bulk 1940-1952).

Bulletins, clippings, contracts, memoranda, correspondence, minutes, financial reports and other materials related to the S.D.E. which was Detroit Chapter 201 of the International Federation of Architects, Engineers, Chemists, and Technicians, (F.A.E.C.T.) from 1938 to 1943 when it disaffiliated with the F.A.E.C.T. and became affiliated with UAW-CIO as Local 212 Briggs Manufacturing Company. The papers in this collection include documents relating to the factionalism within the F.A.E.C.T. which led to the D.S.E's disaffiliation plus subsequent contract and wage negotiations of Local 212 with the Briggs Manufacturing Company.
