Account books of Benjamin Perry's wards, 1841-1864.

Volumes contain the accounts of Benjamin Perry's wards, John Allen Miles (in volume 1) and Jeremiah Jackson Miles (in volume 2) kept by Benjamin Perry. Accounts show expenses for shoes, clothing, cloth, travel, boarding fees, tuition (including Jeremiah Miles' tuition for the Citadel), pocket money, and washing, as well as income from interest and the wages of slaves. Both volumes contain loose sheets of accounts in addition to accounts on the bound pages.
