Smith-Holliday family papers, 1830-1889.

Mexican War correspondence, family correspondence and documents, and greeting cards. Joseph Holliday's Mexican War correspondence is mostly from family and friends in Blackford County to Holliday in Veracruz. Correspondence to and from Nancy (Ella) Holliday Smith in Hartford City deals with family matters and social events and includes a 1928 document about her estate. Correspondence between Jeremiah Smith and his son Henry B., much of it dated 1873-1874, concerns financial and family matters. The greeting cards are mostly valentines, Christmas cards, and postcards.
