[Diary and commonplace book] [1821-1833]

Manuscript commonplace book and diary, dated from approximately 1821 to 1833. The volume comes from the collection of the Savage-Armstrong family of Northern Ireland, and appears to have been written by a female relative of George Francis Savage-Armstrong's mother-in-law, Anne Arabella Dawson, as it mentions various Dawson family names and was apparently written in Carrickfergus, County Antrim, where her family lived. The volume contains both a diary kept daily from January 1, 1821 to February of that year, in addition to many pages of passages copied from poets and writers such as Byron, Moore, Southey and Henry Kirke White.

[180] p., bound ; 19 cm.
