Receipts for surveys withdrawn from the Virginia Land Office, 1792-1831.

These records contain requests from individuals that their surveys on which grants had not yet been issued and the fees paid thereon be released to their representative. The requests are endorsed by the person who received both the survey and the fee. Most refer to property in Kentucky which had established its own land office upon acquiring statehood in 1792.
