The company, incorporated in 1903, was owned jointly by GN and the Northern Pacific Railway. It operated 67 miles of track between Winnipeg and the international boundary and 2 miles of track at the Winnipeg joint terminals. The Rexford, Mont., station of the Great Northern Railway was established in 1903. It was closed in 1972 when the railroad was rerouted due to the flooding of the area behind the Libby Dam.
