The Rexford, Mont., station of the Great Northern Railway was established in 1903. It was closed in 1972 when the railroad was rerouted due to the flooding of the area behind the Libby Dam. Great Northern Elevator Company (Buffalo, N.Y.).

The company was incorporated by GN in 1897 to provide storage facilities for grain shipped from Duluth (Minn.) to Buffalo on Great Northern Steamship Company vessels.
