The company was incorporated by GN in 1897 to provide storage facilities for grain shipped from Duluth (Minn.) to Buffalo on Great Northern Steamship Company vessels. GN sold the elevator to an eastern railroad consortium in 1903 and the company was dissolved in 1906.
