The collection contains a letter, 1822 Sept. 4, from M. Randolph to Anne Payne Cutts regarding a job in the land office for a Beverley [Randolph?]; and a draft, n.d., in the hand of Thomas Mann Randolph, written on the verso of an address leaf from Thomas Jefferson to Randolph and franked by Jefferson. The draft concerns Richmond lawyers and merchants arousing dissension among the citizens over unpopular government measures.
