Autograph musical manuscript of the various leit-motifs of the "Ring of the Niblungs" by Wagner, and the theme and lyrics of a French song, comprising about 100 bars. French song written on a British Museum call slip. Also bound in this volume is a printed article by Florence Boylston Pelo, "Bernard Shaw - Musician" in which she describes one of the sheets with the Wagner themes. All sheets mounted on blank pages. Bound in full red morocco, gilt, with cover title: George Bernard Shaw as musician, original compositions, 1885. A loose note from Bernard Burgunder says this title is outrageous because he has copied Wagner, and puts the date in the early 1880s.

In November 1915, George Kessler and his wife Cora formally organized the British, French, and Belgian Permanent Blind Relief War Fund in Paris. The Kesslers asked Helen Keller, then 35 years old, for her support and the Permanent Blind Relief War Fund for Soldiers & Sailors of the Allies was incorporated in New York State in 1919.
