The International Brotherhood of Teamsters was formed in 1903 from the merger of two teamsters unions to form one large union affiliated with the American Federation of Labor. One of the largest and most powerful unions in the country, the Teamsters have been notoriously plagued by corrupt leadership throughout its history.
