Writings, primarily an unpublished manuscript of "Colorful Czechoslovakia," (470 leaves) with drafts of part of her book "Medora" (1940) on the verso; photocopies of two letters, one relating to her campaign for Congress in 1944, and the other to Russell Reid concerning her book "Medora"; material from Shepherd Correspondence School of Contest Technique, including bulletins, lessons, contest material in writing winning jingles and advertising slogans. Unpublished typed manuscripts, "The gift of gifts" (6 leaves), and "Hitler's nearing death," (6 leaves). Clippings includes an account of her escape from Czechoslovakia as it was invaded by the Nazis.

Born in Bohemia, daughter of Anton and Leopoldina (Paroubek) Trinka. Immigrated in 1893 and settled in Lidgerwood, N.D. After summer courses at Valley City State College in 1913, she became the first librarian at the Lidgerwood Public Library, later head librarian at Dickinson, N.D. Began her writing career with two N.D. history books. Returned to Europe in 1936 and left just prior to the German invasion of Czechoslovakia. Her last book was published in 1960.
