Book designer, typographer and printer. Frederic Warde (1894-1939) was best known in the field of graphic arts as a book designer and in association with the Arrighi typeface. He was also a writer, editor, and, on occasion, a perfumer. After service in World War I, Warde worked as an editor at Macmillan? though they would eventually divorce, his ex-wife would achieve her own fame in the world of graphic arts as Beatrice Warde.
