Correspondence reflects conflicts with missionaries and the Foreign Mission Board. Included are two 1904 letters of recommendation from W.O. Southern Baptist missionary to China, 1904-1912 and 1914-1935. Snuggs was a controversial figure, in sympathy with J. Frank Norris. He came into conflict with other missionaries and the Foreign Mission Board, and was sent to a separate mission, the Pakhoi Mission, South China.
