Includes material relating to Foulois's service in the Spanish-American War, in the Philippines during and after the insurrection (1899-1905), in aerial operations during the Mexican Punitive Expedition (1916), as chief of the American Expeditionary Forces air operations during World War I, as military observer and attaché in Berlin, Germany (1920-1924), as commanding officer at Mitchell Field, Long Island, N.Y. (1925-1927), and as assistant chief and chief of the Army Air Corps (1927-1935), as well as material relating to his interest in aviation legislation and U. S.
