Mr. Hinckley does not give much hope of recovering what appears so justly due. Mr. Wallis being dead adds to the difficulty since the law requires the most direct and specific proof of intentional fraud. The house in Southampton St. was certainly disposed of below value, but they would need to prove collusion in order to annul the transaction. Hopes she has received a barrel of ale, which might not be as good as old Betty's brewing. She also sends a hamper containing two hams, sent off last night by the Chester flying wagon.
