Autograph letter signed from Mrs. Anderson, 13 South Audley Street, to Mrs. Garrick, Adelphi Terrace [manuscript], 18th or 19th century Tuesday evening.

She invites Mrs. Garrick to dinner. Since her husband dines out, it will only be she, Mrs. Garrick, and Lady Amherst, the number of the Graces, which she who possesses them all cannot object to. Perhaps she can treat Mrs. Garrick with a bear such as Sir Charles Blagden or some other member of the Royal Society. Includes integral address leaf.

Sir Charles Blagden (1748-1820), was a physician and secretary of the Royal Society. In 1772, he was elected a fellow of the Royal Society. In 1776 he became a surgeon in the army and served on a hospital ship during the American Revolutionary War.
