Katy Sage was born to James and Lovis Ott Sage of Elk Creek of Grayson County, Virginia. Katy disappeared in 1787. In 1848 her brother Charles met a Caucasian woman living with the Wyandotte Indians at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. She resembled the Sage family and had a birthmark which Katy had. She reportedly had been stolen by a Caucasian man who then sold her to Cherokees, who in turn gave her to the Wyandotte Indians. Munsey M. Poole was the news editor of the Galax Gaz...
