Hide Profile

Katy Sage was born to James and Lovis Ott Sage of Elk Creek of Grayson County, Virginia. Katy disappeared in 1787. In 1848 her brother Charles met a Caucasian woman living with the Wyandotte Indians at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. She resembled the Sage family and had a birthmark which Katy had. She reportedly had been stolen by a Caucasian man who then sold her to Cherokees, who in turn gave her to the Wyandotte Indians.

Munsey M. Poole was the news editor of the Galax Gazette during the 1950s and 1960s. Poole also wrote The Miracle Mountain Minister (1967).
