Landing of Columbus : autograph account book, 1849.

Documents the childhood partnership of J. Pierpont Morgan and cousin James Goodwin--their first--for the purpose of preparing an exhibit entitled a "Diorama of the Landing of Columbus". The account book records the subscribers and their investments; the cost of outfitting the display; and the number and price of the tickets, including a section entitled "Tickets given out and sold" (4 p.) that lists the names and addresses of the people who attended the show.
