Autograph letter signed, dated : Paris, 19 December 1854, to an unidentified friend, 1854 Dec. 19.

Saying how sorry he is to hear that the recipient is ill, asking him to let Voss know, through Whistling, how his health is, saying that he goes on 30 December to Bordeaux, that he will take with him the small cannon that Kastner, commander of a battery of the National Guard at Versailles, set off three times at the recipient's jubilee, saying that Voss plans to set it off with Mme Raver in Bordeaux, adding that Raver possesses the best music shop and is one of the largest wine merchants, mentioning André, Cooks, Dancla ("ein Stockfranzose"), Roger ("der ist ein Jude! u[.] ein Jude thut Alles um Geld zu verdienen!"), Brandus, Berlioz ("ein verrü[c]kter Kerl," but harmless, who scribbles much foolish stuff about himself), etc.
