Autograph letter signed, dated : Dreieichenhain, 23 September 1859, to [Louis Spohr?], 1859 Sept. 23.

Saying that since the great impertinence of the Weimar Kapelle he has decided never to play as a kindness for a certain corporation, but that because the recipient is at the head of affairs he will make an exception and play in Cassel on 24 or 25 October, asking if there is something he would especially like Vieuxtemps to play, sending greetings to Graff, etc.
