Expressing regret that he cannot accept an invitation, saying he was sorry to hear the recipient was ill on his return to Munich, reporting on the success of his Medea at the Neues Palais in Potsdam on 7 August, saying that the king's thanks pleased him greatly, that Mendelssohn and Meyerbeer were present, etc.
