Autograph letter signed, dated : France, 20 April 1916, to M. [Georges] Jean-Aubry in Paris, 1916 Apr. 20.

Thanking him for a copy of La musique française d'ajourd'hui, the reading of which has caused him to forget "les tristesses qui m'entourent," saying that Fauré's preface, in which the ideas and points of view differ from Jean-Aubry's, only increases the book's interest, expressing the hope that the book will be widely read and suggesting that it be translated into English, mentioning M. [Tony] and Mme [Madeleine] Guéritte, [to whom the book is dedicated], etc.
