Autograph letter signed, dated : Leipzig, 6 May 1833, to Rafael Georg Kiesewetter in Vienna, 1833 May 6.

Thanking him for his letter of 23 March, recalling the death of his daughter, whose husband had died before her, leaving six children, adding that his wife is very ill, saying that the works by Goudimel and Tallis serve his needs perfectly, that if anyone is to publish "eine Geschichte der europäisch-abendländischen Musik" Kiesewetter is the person for it, etc.
