Saying how fatigued he is after an exceptionally active season, thanking him for inviting Paderewski to play at an orchestral concert in the winter, saying that previous engagements prevent him--at least for the time being--from accepting, sending a check for 20,000 francs [not present] for Cortot's school, suggesting they meet for a game of bridge on 22 or 23 November when Paderewski will be in Paris, etc.
