Saying he has received through Henkel ten copies of Sockhausen's Gesangsmethode but finds no corrigenda on the verso of the title page, explaining the conditions under which he would allow a popular edition of the Methode to be published, that with regard to translation rights he agrees with the recipient's letter of 27 November--if the "Canons von Cherubini" are not added in France--, adding that Durand-Schönewerk seems to have little desire to print the work, and that they advised Stockhausen's brother, the translator, to turn to Peters in Leipzig.
