Autograph letter signed, dated : Kassel July 3 1848, to an unidentified recipient, 1848 July 3.

Saying that if the instruction the recipient wants consists of Spohr's examining his works and pointing out all the errors he finds and in guiding the recipient in correcting them, then Spohr is entirely willing to do so, adding that aside from German he speaks only French, and that if they reach a point when they cannot communicate, then they will call on Spohr's wife as interpreter, since she is quite fluent in English.
