Sending [not present] a copy of the song volume, which unfortunately arrived from Leipzig (where it was engraved) too late for Frl. Emma v. Knoll's "Hochzeitstisch," and replying at some length to the recipient's question about the Ludwigsburg Liedertaf[e]l having sung the "Preisgesang" too high, explaining that it was in fact only one chord with augmented thirds that might have been in question (with two musical examples), etc.
